Our Wholesale Call Termination Service (CTS) is a voice service through which we can distribute calls for you to agreed destinations (mobile, national and international PSTN services globally).  You will deliver those calls to WCG and/or our third party supplier from either to a device (PABX / CPE / Switch) owned by you and telehoused in one of WCG’s data centres or POP’s or to a device located in the client premises which is directly connected to WCG or our third party supplier’s network.

Available Call Types


The Wholesale Call Termination Service allows the client to terminate calls to mobile, national and international PSTN services.  WCG (via various third party suppliers) will carry such calls and terminate them as appropriate.

The Call Termination Service will not permit carriage of untimed or timed local calls or calls to;

  • Directory/Operator Services (12),
  • Freephone Services (18),
  • Local Rate Services (13),
  • Premium Rate Services (19),
  • Data Access Services (0198),
  • Satellite Mobile Services (014),
  • Calling Card Services (189),
  • Paging Services (016),
  • VPN Services (188), and
  • UPT Services (05).
  • These calls will be carried via You or your End User’s current Service Provider and you will have to manage the routing of these calls

Access Link and Call Termination

All calls to the PSTN presented to WCG from:

  • a device owned or operated by the client which is telehoused in one of WCG’s Data Centres or POP’s; or
  • a device that is not located in one of WCG’s data centres or POP’s but which is directly connected to the WCG network or third party supplier network, either through a WCG access tail or via a communications link (access tail) purchased by you from another carriage service provider.
  • will be carried by WCG or its third party supplier across the WCG network or third party supplier network and will be handed off to another carrier or the PSTN for termination as applicable.
  • WCG will terminate the calls received from the client via whatever routes it considers to be appropriate, including by using the services of other carriers.
  • WCG may add to or remove from the list of destinations to which it is able to provide the Call Termination Service by giving the client written notice of the relevant changes to take effect not less than five days after the date of the notice.

Call Detail Records

The Wholesale Call Termination Service includes the supply of CDRs in respect of calls made by the client or the client’s end users via WCG or third party supplier(s). WCG or our third party supplier will endeavour to supply daily (in electronic format) CDR’s to your system or a system specified by you.  The CDR feed will be made available by FTP online or using the Online Ordering Portal or TeleBill™ as provided by WCG.

You will need to be able to rate and bill the CDR’s in order to provide an end user service – alternatively you may choose to order TeleBill™ from WCG to perform these functions for you.
